On this page
The median hire karting track in the UK starts at £40 a session. That is the middle "price from" across the 113 tracks in our data that have one, and half of them start between £30 and £53. Indoor tracks cost more than outdoor ones (£50 against £32 at the median), and the South East is the dearest region. We last checked prices on 3 November 2026.

By kart power
Electric and petrol tracks share a median "price from" of £50, so kart power on its own tells you little about what a session costs. Only the 56 priced tracks that state their kart power are included. See the electric karting guide.
- Electric 31 tracksMedian £50, £20 to £70
- Petrol 25 tracksMedian £50, £19.99 to £72
What a price includes
126 tracks list their sessions in our data. Between them they list 707 sessions, and a typical track lists about 5. Session lengths run from 7 to 360 minutes, and 30 minutes is the most common. That spread is why one headline price is hard to compare with another.
- Session length, number of races and number of laps differ between tracks.
- Junior, adult and group sessions often have different prices.
- Membership, licence or kit charges may or may not be included. See the track page.
- Prices can differ by day and time of booking.
- Age and height limits decide which session you can book. See age and height limits and the children's guide.

If you want to race
Racing in a club or championship brings costs a hire session does not have: entry fees, tyres, spares and, if you own the kart, engine rebuilds. Our clubs and championships guide covers the routes in from hire karting, and Zenico Racing breaks down what three of them cost.
